a long prose called a profile

Okay here we go. I'm Marie, and I was fired from my mom's womb on the 8th September 1994. Do the math, if you wanna know how old I am or am gonna be, yes? 'Cause my inability to factorise stuff isn't getting me anywhere. Alright, moving on! I come from the hottest sexiest coolest Sec 1 Truth '07 and the awesomest fantastic-est loveliest Sec 2 Justice '08 and now the funest coolest Sec 3 Grace '09 :D Yes, so no Secondary student is allowed to go home straight 5 days a week, so i'm in SNLS to burn off my one day a week and try not to give the Library aunty migraines. I'm currently relishing my first year not a Drama student. I profess my love to the love-ah-lee CAPPERS '08 who made my first week of June hols '08 a week to remember! Teehee. I will miss hurling paper balls at Heidi/Alicia C/Ziyu/Genith during class, and will find a way to kachao them in their new classes hehheh. I need to sit with someone good in math because I downright suck at any aspect of it except 1+1, 2+2 that sorta thing, and I still love Archuleta with my teenage-lovey-dovey heart:D (shuddup i'm not weird!). I'm a hardcore Friends-addict, and I adore Chandler Bing.

First post of 2008!!!! Happeh happeh new year to every every every boooday!!:D:D

Alrighto, new new new year!!

New class, new classroom, new teacher. 2 Justice's cool. Classroom isn't as claustrophobic as i'd thought, what with the no windows on the left thing. Teacher (Mrs Nath) is pretty nice. Sitting with Cabrini right at the back of the classroom, behind Sharon and Erina! Xiang sheng is damn funneh!! The only rather enjoyable thing about the "enrichment week". Talks, talks, talks, Ugh, ugh, UGH. It's been like hours of zoning out while someone goes on about values or whatever. Bridge-building with Sharon, Erina, Cabrini and Sophia was cool. We got judged twice 'cause the first time the bridge slanted down, but didn't actually break, and Sharon told Mr Imran who allowed us to be rejudged (yay!). First time was 150g, and second was 650g. Yipee(: Juan's darling came back yesterday. Saw her in the canteen, and exclaimed "OH. MY. GOSH." and went running to find Nicole Chan who was supposedly at the drinks stall, but she wasn't there. Got back to the table to find Neubronner going, "Is Li Juan still in love with Kelly?" LOL. Nicole Chan came back, and we went to find Juan who had already seen her. Hahaha.

Spot check on Fri. Ugh. Mrs Nath took my belt and went, "ROOM FOR EXPANSION AH?" Oops.

Went to the gym on Wed with Hoon and her friend. Juan came later. Did some thigh strengthening thing. Then Ms Susan Lim came in and went, "MY FRIEND, DON'T STEP SO HARD ON THE MACHINE *something something* I CAN HEAR YOU FROM OVER THERE. IT'S GOOD THAT YOU'RE WORKING OUT." to Hoon who was on the treadmill, then went out again. Super funny:D

The anamorphic art thing was the funniest thing. Lin Wen Wei came in, and saw Saacha's drawing and asked her "So can it work?" Saacha was like, "IT'S GENIUS" And he gave this damn funny look. Hehehe:D

CCA on Thurs was super:D Super benefits of being in Library Soc. You can screw around and still get cca points. Juan, Jodie and I were doing marshmellows for cca fair. It was kinda gross:D Some marshmellows dropped on the table, but we stuffed them in the wrapper anyways. Crapped around, and "tou chi" marshmellows! :D

First French lesson on Fri!!! Went home to drop my bag off before going to MOELC. Reached there 40 mins early, and the canteen was empty except for a few people. I had been planning to study Bio there. So I opened my bag, and hail, found that I had forgotten to bring the textbook. So I sat. Sat like an idiot for awhile. Then decided to take out my notebook and write A-Z in block letters, then in small letters, then write numbers 1 - 26 underneath them. Drew as many big eyed people as I could. Then when I couldn't stand feeling idiotic anymore, tried to study some French conjugations. Things started to get better. Saw Yu Ting!!:D Then Vanessa from last year's French class came!! I asked her her teacher was, and she took out this piece of paper with her class allocation. She had PRINTED IT OUT. By then it was about time to go to class. Then I realized. I had freakin' forgotten which class I was in. UGH. So stumbled around like a fool mumbling "Dammit, dammit, dammit" until I just walked into a class and asked some RGS girls who the teacher of the class was. THANK GOODNESS TO THE MAX, they said "Patricia" which was the only word I remembered from my class posting page. So sat at the last row of the green tables, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. Then the teacher came in and went, "Bonjour, class!!" and all of us just stood and stared blankly at her. She repeated, "Bonjour, class!!" Then finally we went, "Bonjour......" She started again, "Je'mapelle Madame Teo." So we went, "Bonjour Madame Teo." and finally sat down again. I was the only St Nicks girl in class. :S

Then to my utmost utmost horror, she started speaking French.

French instructions, French introductions, French commands.

And I just went, "SHIT" and put my head on the table and continued, "Shit, shit, shit." Don't know if anyone heard me. Was too concerned with wondering what the hell I was gonna do. I tried. Tried to listen. Sometimes she spoke in English, and it was like an earplug was pulled out of my ears and I could understand again. But mostly she spoke in French. And the worst thing was...that everyone seemed to understand her perfectly. Everyone but the only St Nicks girl sitting at the back hyperventilating.

I understood SOME things. Then she seemed to be giving us a command to introduce ourselves, and asked the guy in front to start first. Before I could faint, I asked the RGS girls in front of me what she wanted us to do. They explained. Thank you SO MUCH:D Luckily, Madame Teo stopped asking us for oral introductions and asked us to "ecrire" instead. Now THAT I understood. So I tried writing. Then she went around marking, but somehow didn't come to me. So I didn't get mine marked. Then she started explaining how to login to the website to access our dosseirs and all, which she did in English (THANKFULLY) so I could understand. After which, she went back to French and started teaching from a powerpoint. Something we were supposed to have learnt last year. She asked something in French which I (surprise surprise) couldn't catch. Everyone else seemed to have caught it though, cause they were all moving to take out their textbooks. Another realization smack in my face; I hadn't brought my textbook. I thought Sec 1 stuff wasn't necessary. Just as I was having my realization, she went (in English), "If you do not bring your textbook, I will LOOK DOWN on you." DAMN. Anyways, took out my conjugations book instead, and hoped beyond hope that she wouldn't notice. And she didn't. Hooray. But she seemed to be asking us to write something, and I had no idea what. Was looking frantically around and considering doing what I did last year on Mr Benoit when he was looking for people to go to the board - bend down and pretend to be tying shoelace or searching in bag for something, and avoid at all costs eye contact with the teacher. Then she came to me and said (in English), "You do not sit alone! Go sit there!" and gestured to this ang mo girl sitting alone in the front row. I was SO SO SO damn grateful and relieved. I would have someone to help me! YIPEE:D I would survive!!:D

So I moved beside the girl who shared her textbook with me. She was SUPER SUPER COOL. I told her I was horrible at French, and she started helping me, telling me what the teacher was saying and explaining the concepts and instructions and conjugations and stuff and helping me write what we were supposed to write:D:D SHE IS A LIFE-SAVER. A TOTAL LIFE-SAVER. And she is the TOTAL OPPOSITE of me in French standard - EXCELLENT. I read her writing, and then realized my book was open to mine and quickly shut it:S The standard differences were like the sky and ground...or sea. So huge. Then it was break time, and the Madame Teo told us we couldn't stay in class for break. Went out with her and we walked to the stall but didn't wanna buy food. But we had 15 mins till the classroom was opened again, so we walked up and down the corridor like 8 times, talking. Found out she is Russian, and is 16 years old. She studied French in Russia and scored like 85% last year when she came to Singapore. Which is a freakin' 49% higher than me. Ah. And her name is Anastasia. Pronounced "Ah-naa-staa-see-ya" Coolio. Damn cool sia. She has this accent and super blue eyes.

Okay, then it was time to go back to class. Madame Teo asked Anastasia and this other RGS girl to read a passage aloud. Anastasia speaks French like a damn pro, and I was practically gaping like a fool. Then we had to do this "quiz" of 10 questions. I peeked at my conjugations book when Madame Teo went out of the room. When she came back, I was nearly busted 'cause Anastasia called for her cause she was done with her work, and she (teacher) was coming towards us. Luckily she (Anastasia) nudged me, and I slammed the book shut and pretended to be randomly flipping through the pages. Finally, when I thought I was done and just wanted to get done with it, I called for Madame Teo who marked my work. Which I obtained a 4/10. Great. First "test" of the year, and already flunked. I am genius. Peeking at books for help, and still managing to fail. Incredible, I tell you. Madame Teo gave me the look. The "I am memorising your face and I know who you are, you hopeless case" look. And went off. Diagnosis over. Another teacher finds out my disastrous standard. Yipee. At least that's over. Yeah, so Anastasia helped and explained to me my mistakes. Thank you SO MUCH:D:D

CCA Fair was cool. Went around with Vivian and Juan with candies, stickers and flyers. Sec 1s '08 are scared of candy. Geez. Then Juan and I went around later just walking around with candy and stickers. CCA fairs are funny. Haha.

Alright. Lessons start tomorrow!! Thank goodness. Don't think I can stand another zoning out session.
